An experienced manuscript editor wanted with excellent writing skills to assist our senior editor with a series of books on some of history’s most significant people. Each book is roughly 35-45k words in length, for which we are paying $500 for a full, substantive edit.

We’re looking for an in-depth edit. But one that doesn’t change the author’s core message and meaning. You should work to clarify meaning, improve readability, enhance reader comprehension, rework confusing or awkward syntax, and eliminate repetitive language. Where necessary, provide substantive editing for organization, flow, structure, and word choice, besides the usual grammar/spelling/ punctuation.
