Yes, though bear in mind that the notion of the womb is very hazy for the infant, though he or she has much interest in what goes on inside mother’s body, and especially in the babies thought to be there. On the matter of the last few questions Juliet Mitchell’s book ‘Psychoanalysis and
feminism’ though dating is a good reliable place to start – and then some of her later books, and those of people Nancy Chodorow can be recommended.
